Archive for December, 2011

Another year is almost over and it is natural man to start thinking about what had happened, what is, what will be. For me it was a nice year, full of many many emotions and new experiences, hope life will continue offering me the same interesting stuff and of course – people!

I wish to everyone, who still believe in the Christmas spirit and magic, a very very beautiful last days of 2011, smooth and successful 2012, of course, love is all around (if you believe in love too, but this is another story for another post) … well … let all good come to you guys 🙂

But if you don’t believe in Christmas anymore, Santa is just a picture you see everywhere, the whole glittering and pine tree decoration makes you sick, and the only “good” thing about Christmas is that you have to spend too much money on gifts and food, which finally is too much and you throw away… well … In this case there is nothing which will make you feel better around this time at the year. And may be at some point you’re right about the whole shit around Christmas.

… but isn’t our life too grey ordinal anyway? How often do we remember to give something small to our friends and family, how often do we show how much we care? Isn’t it Christmas a nice time (somehow perfect) to say all the good things we want to to the people who deserve it?

Every coin has 2 sides.

Merry Christmas!

Frozen

Sometimes I really wonder how the great Mother Nature is capable to create such a beauty. I like the picture because of 2 reasons:

1. The leaf is… so gentle and cold!

2. The contrast with the black gloves makes it somehow not real. And of course the green colour is there 🙂

Few days after “Imaginaerum” is out, I can’t stop listening to it. Tuomas has overcome my expectations. The whole composition is amazing, spectacular… But the one I am really in love with is “Turn loose the mermaids”. Such a beauty, so emotional…

A kite above a graveyard grey
At the end of the line far far away
A child holding on to the magic of birth and awe

Oh, how beautiful it used to be
Just you and me far beyond the sea
The waters, scarce in motion
Quivering still

At the end of the river the sundown beams
All the relics of a life long lived
Here, weary traveler rest your wand
Sleep the journey from your eyes

Good journey, love, time to go
I checked your teeth and warmed your toes
In the horizon I see them coming for you

The mermaid grace, the forever call
Beauty in spyglass on an old man’s porch
The mermaids you turned loose brought back your tears

At the end of the river the sundown beams
All the relics of a life long lived
Here, weary traveler rest your wand
Sleep the journey from your eyes
[x2]
